I had a joint account with UniCredit with my then-husband. After irresponsible stock speculations by my husband, I separated the accounts and the safe deposit box. Doesn’t a power of attorney have to be issued on a bank form, and doesn’t a bank employee have to verify with their customer (in this case, I was the customer with my own accounts) when a somewhat questionable alleged power of attorney is presented, especially if they are aware of the difficult marital circumstances?
